Description:
Sealed bids for the Cowford Landing Improvements will be received by the Board of County 
Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as the "County".

Bids will be received on or before November 2, 2020 no later than 10:30 AM local time at the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Florida  32435.  Bids received after such dated and time will not be accepted or opened.  It is the Contractors sole responsibility to ensure their bids are received and/or delivered to address mentioned above.

Scope of Work: The proposed work includes the construction a new parking lot, sidewalks, restroom, two overnight shelters, timber boardwalks, and a new floating dock with ADA kayak loading station. New ADA compliant sidewalks and curb ramps will also be construction as well as drainage improvements including a stormwater management system with outfall structure and piping. 

Last date to submit questions is October 19, 2020 no later than 12:00 Noon. All questions are to directed in writing to the County Purchasing Agent.  DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER OR ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED. Questions received after such date and time will not be answered.

A MANDATORY pre-bid teleconference will be held at 1:30 P.M. on OCTOBER 14, 2020
Meeting participants must join the teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 261221.
Bidders are strongly encouraged to join the teleconference at least 10 minutes before the designated start time. If unable to join the teleconference at the number above, please call 850-892-8108 and ask to be included in the Cowford Landing Improvements Teleconference. Attendance will be confirmed via roll call at no later than 5 minutes after the designated start time and any Bidder not present for the roll call will not be eligible to bid on the project. Bidders must remain until the teleconference is adjourned. The County will not accept bids from bidders arriving after attendance is confirmed or departing prior to adjournment of the pre-bid teleconference.

To be considered Contractors must submit one (1) original paper copy of bid and one (1) digital copy on USB Thumb Drive along with any required bid bonds to the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32435.

Our area is not a designated FedEx delivery location.  It is the sole responsibility of the Contractor to ensure their bid is delivered on time and at the right location.  Central Purchasing is closed on ALL Fridays.
