Sealed bids for the CR 0605 Roadway Improvement Project will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "the County" at the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Florida  32435

Until 10:00AM LOCAL TIME on NOVEMBER 2, 2020 for furnishing labor and materials and performing all work set forth in the Invitation to Bid.

PROJECT: CR0605 Roadway Project is a resurfacing and widening project that extends approximately 6.6 miles from County Highway 2 to US Highway 331 in Walton County, Florida.   Improvements include resurfacing and widening of an existing two-lane roadway with paved shoulders as well as some minor drainage improvements, mailbox replacement, erosion control and pavement markings.  This project is funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as part of their Small County Road Assistance program (SCRAP). 

A MANDATORY PRE-BID TELECONFERENCE WILL BE HELD AT 9:00AM LOCAL TIME ON OCTOBER 4,   14, 2020. Meeting participants must join the teleconference by dialing 850-635-0655, extension 265034.

Bidders are strongly encouraged to join the teleconference at least 10 minutes before the designated start time.  If unable to join the teleconference at the number above, please call 850-892-8108 and ask to be included in the CR 0605 Roadway Improvements Teleconference.  Attendance will be confirmed via roll call at no later than 5 minutes after the designated start time and any Bidder not present for the roll call will not be eligible to bid on the project.  Bidders must remain until the teleconference is adjourned.  the County will not accept bids from bidders arriving after attendance is confirmed or departing prior to adjournment of the pre-bid teleconference.

To be considered, Bidder must submit bid digitally on a USB THUMB DRIVE, along with ONE ORIGINALLY PAPER BID,  in a sealed envelope with Bidders name and Bid number along with "CR 0605  ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS" on front of envelope, addressed to Central Purchasing or delivered to Central Purchasing at 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Florida  32435.

All questions in regards to this project shall be submitted to the Purchasing Agent in writing to no later than 12:00noon local time on October 21, 2020.  DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER COUNTY STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER, OR ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFED.

Our area is not a guaranteed overnight FedEx delivery.  Our office is CLOSED on all Fridays.  It is the sole responsibility of the Bidder to ensure their bid is delivered and received at the right location.  We date and time stamp all bids, bids received after such date and time will not be accepted.
