Description:

Sealed bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, hereinafter referred to as "the County" for the CR280B Project.

PROJECT - The proposed work includes construction of a new 22 foot wide asphalt roadway (CR280B) and 720 foot bridge from US Highway 331 (SE 83) to CR280A.  The project includes the addition of a right turn lane at the intersection of Hwy 331 and the new roadway (CR280B) as well as the addition of a left turn lane and pavement widening along CR280A at the intersection with the new CR280B.  New sidewalk will be constructed at the intersection of Hwy 331 and new CR280B as well as drainage improvements included ditches, culverts and storm sewer.  Retaining walls will also be constructed to limit impacts to existing weland areas.

BID DEADLINE:  Closes August 13, 2020 no later than 10:00AM local time and will open immediately thereafter.

MANDATORY PRE-BID will be held on July 29, 2020 at 9:00AM in the Walton County Courthouse, BCC Boardroom, 571 US Hwy 90, DeFuniak Springs, Fl 32433.  Bidders may participate in the pre-Bid meeting via Zoom or attend in person.  Zoom instructions are on page 5 of Bid Documents.  July 28, 2020 at 1:00PM local time, at the Public Works conference room located on 117 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, Fl  32435.  Bidder must be present at the pre-bid in order to bid on this project.  This will NOT be a teleconference pre-bid.

DUE  TO THE ONGOING COVID 19, THE PRE BID WILL BE HELD VIA TELECONFERENCE.  TO JOIN DIAL 850-635-0655 EXTENSION 261221.  CONTRACTORS MUST BE JOIN IN BY DESIGNATED DATE AND TIME AND REMAIN UNTIL MEETING IS ADJOURNED, OR YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SUBMIT A BID.

LATE SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THE FOREMENTIONED DEADLINE DATE, EITHER BY MAIL, OR OTHERWISE, WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED AND RETURNED UNOPENED.  THE TIME OF RECEIPT WILL BE DETERMINED BY THE TIME RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING AGENT’S OFFICE.  IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE FIRM FOR ASSURING THAT THE BID IS RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING OFFICE BY THE DESIGNATED DATE AND TIME.  NO FAXED, ELECTRONIC OR ORAL BID WILL BE ACCEPTED.

OUR AREA IS NOT A GUARANTEED OVERNIGHT FED EX DELIVERY DROP OFF LOCATION. IT IS THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE VENDOR TO ENSURE SUBMITTAL IS RECEIVED IN THE PURCHASING OFFICE ON DATE AND TIME SPECIFIED. SUBMITTALS RECEIVED AFTER THE SPECIFIED DAY AND TIME WILL NOT BE OPENED. THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON ALL FRIDAYS.

Central Purchasing will be closed on July 2, 2020 in observance of Independence Day.
