DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION OF SOD COYOTE LANDFILL WEST
Sealed bids for the Delivery and Installation of Sod Coyote Landfill West will be received by the Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, Florida, hereinafter referred to as "County."
BID CLOSES: April 2, 2020 at 3:00 PM local time and will open immediately thereafter.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide delivery and installation of approximately 24 acres of Bahia sod at the Coyote Landfill in Freeport, Florida. The site is located on the east side of Hatcher Cemetery Road, approximately 1,800 feet south of the intersection of SR 20 and Hatcher Cemetery Road. The sod shall be pinned, as deemed necessary, by the Contractor on all slopes greater than or equal to 3:1 slopes. The County shall grade all landfill slopes to be no steeper than a 3:1 slope. Contractor shall lay sod on the landfill slopes horizontally with no overlapping joints. Contractor shall have the ability to install a minimum of 1 acre of sod per day upon notice from County to proceed. Additionally, the Contractor shall water as needed and warranty work for a period of one year from completion of installation. Bid should be based on a unit price per square of sod. For the purpose of this bid a square contains 100 square feet of sod. Unit price should include preparation of sod and sod bed, stakes, fertilizing, watering, maintenance, and clean up. Also includes any necessary sod replacements during warranty period.
NOTE: Submission of a bid on this project constitutes an incontrovertible representation by the bidder that bidder has the ability to install a minimum of 1 acre of sod per day.
All question are to be directed in writing to the County Purchasing Agent. Questions shall be submitted to Purchasing no later than 12:00 Noon on March 26, 2020. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER COUNTY STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER, OR ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED.
BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DELIVERY OF ITS BID. BID RECEIVED AFTER SAID DATE AND TIME SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS AND IS NOT A GUARANTEED OVERNIGHT FEDEX DELIVERY LOCATION.
Each bid must be accompanied by Bid security in the amount of ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($1000.00) made payable to Board of County Commissioners, Walton County, and is in the form of a certified bank check or Bid Bond.
