Due to the COVID-19 virus, all bid closings and pre-bid meetings have been postponed until further notice.
Special attention is required for the traffic control plan and work zone areas. Temporary traffic signals will be employed to meter the traffic one way at a time and reduce the speed through the work zone to a maximum of 10 MPH.
The new culverts will be placed by constructing half the road at a time and shifting traffic as needed to complete the installation.
Contract duration is set for 6 months to construct both locations and an additional month to complete the final punch list and supply as-built surveys of each installation.
All questions are to be directed in writing to the County Purchasing Agent. Questions must be sumbitted to Purchasing no later than 12:00 Noon on March 4 11 2020. DIRECTING QUESTIONS TO ANY OTHER COUNTY STAFF, PROJECT ENGINEER, OR ANY OTHER PERSON IS PROHIBITED AND WILL RESULT IN BID BEING DISQUALIFIED.
BIDDER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR THE DEILVERY OF ITS BID. BID RECEIVED AFTER SAID DATE AND TIME SHALL NOT BE ACCEPTED. THE PURCHASING DEPARTMENT IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS AND WILL BE CLOSED ON FEBRUARY 17, 2020 IN OBSERVANCE OF PRESIDENT’S DAY.
To be considered, bidder must submit one (1) original and three (3) copies of their bid, along with any required bid bonds to the Office of Central Purchasing, 176 Montgomery Circle, DeFuniak Springs, FL 32435.
