Contact hotels and motels outside Walton County to check policies on accepting pets and restrictions on number, size and species. the hotel industry maintains a web site at
www.petswelcome.com that provides searchable information on hotels and motels that allow pets.
Ask friends or family outside the area if they could shelter your animals. Also, prepare a list of boarding facilities and veterinarians who could shelter animals in an emergency. Keep a list of all names and telephone numbers, and have a backup plan for your pet's care.
