Accessory Structures
Accessory Structures are any structures located on a property that is not part of the permitted primary development. The county regulates the installation, configuration, and use of accessory structures, to ensure that they are not harmful aesthetically or physically, to residents or the surrounding areas. There are several types of accessory structures that are specifically regulated through out the county. These include storage buildings, utility buildings, greenhouses, swimming pools, hot tubs, fences, private stables, and accessory apartments. All accessory structures must meet the minimum standards that are detailed in Chapter 6 of the LDC.
