Mosquito Control is handled through the North Walton Mosquito Control District headquartered in DeFuniak Springs, and it is governed by the Board of County Commissioners.

We service all areas of Walton County that lie north of Choctawhatchee Bay. The southern region of Walton County is serviced by the South Walton Mosquito Control District, an independent special taxing district established in 1964.
