The Extension Office is a state and county partnership that provides services to the community in areas such as agriculture, horticulture, environmental awareness, forestry, family living and safety, and the 4-H Youth Program.
Responsibilities
Our office:
Provides science-based information to farms about soil analysis and crop and farm management
Shares science-based horticulture and gardening management with homeowners
Promotes environmental education and assistance to the community about human impact on the natural coastal ecosystem
Supports family-oriented programs such as home, auto, and food safety, nutrition, family financial management, welfare to work, and grandparents as parents programs.
Provides the 4-H Youth Program, which focuses on future occupational and life skills, stressing citizenship, leadership, teamwork, and family participation
