County Administration Offices to Move Temporarily to EOC Following Water Damage to Admin Offices

Walton County Administration Offices to Move Temporarily to EOC Following Water Damage to Administration Building

During the evening of July 26th, the Administrative Offices had a water/sewer failure that caused damage to multiple areas of the Administrative Offices located at 76 N. 6th St. in DeFuniak Springs. Crews have been working since early this morning to eliminate the water from the facility and are currently in the process of making repairs.

Due to the extent of damage that has occurred to the Walton County Administration Offices, the department will be working from the Emergency Operations Center during the week of July 31st through the end of August.

For those wishing to complete or submit a permit for Dog on the Beach Permits, you may continue to complete the applications online, or hardcopy applications can be brought to the TDC Visitors Center in Santa Rosa Beach.

Due to the change in service that has occurred as a result of the water damage and temporary relocation of the Administrative Offices, Beach Code Enforcement will be giving a grace period to those permit holders who have permits that will expire on August 1st.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but appreciate your patience as we get the damage to the Administrative Offices repaired.
